Another day at the national park we did the Goshiki-Numa ponds nature trail, also known as the coloured ponds walk. In the afternoon we drove the Skyline drive to the top of the range near the volcano. Very nice on the way up, but clouded in for the top section, so it felt like driving in a bucket of milk. As we climbed the range the leaf colours went from early autumn to full blown colour and bare trees at the top.
